Hemp for Craft Beverages

Have you tried hemp beer? Whether by adding our whole roasted hemp seeds, Hemp Protein50, or shelled hemp seeds (hearts), hemp opens new flavor dimensions for craft brewers – and now some cider makers and distillers are featuring hemp-flavored offerings.

  • Whole, roasted hemp seeds added at the post-fermentation stage give beers toasted nut flavors as well as uniquely hemp-like notes. The oils released help present a smooth finish with a softer head.
  • Hemp Protein50 delivers whole hemp seed flavor without the oil, and exerts much less influence on the head.
  • Shelled hemp seeds (hearts) have a more mild but fully “hemp” flavor, adding body and density.

Whether added to an IPA, pilsner, lager, another ale ordark beer – hemp brings new opportunities for creativity and presenting new and excellent flavor experiences to your customers with an on-trend ingredient.

Brewers across the U.S. are deploying hemp’s different formats, which to quote one brewer, have “as many aroma outcomes as hops” to create exciting new combinations of flavors (and hemp seeds’ lack of CBD or THC make it fully legal for use across beverages).

Hemp will boost the nutritional profile of your craft beverages and put you on the cutting edge of a plant-based source from a transparent U.S. supply chain.
